We are so excited that March Is Reading Month is here! We have selected The One and Only Ivan as our ONE SCHOOL, ONE BOOK reading selection. The OLDEST child in each Peck Elementary household will be issued the book on TODAY! We have a whole month of fun planned! Our hallways are all decked out and we are thrilled to share the excitement of reading with our students!
You are receiving a calendar of events so you can see some of our special activities and surprises. Some festivities include guest readers, spirit days, classroom writings, craft activities, and staff will be reading the book aloud on YouTube!
Please help us keep your child reading. Nothing will make your child more successful in school than fostering that skill and that love.
CHANGE DRIVE March 8-12:
We have partnered with all of the county elementary schools this year to help support Sanilac County’s Imagination Library, so save your pennies! We are hoping to help contribute in a big way during our CHANGE DRIVE March 8-12.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR March 15-19:
The book fair will be here March 15-19. Please send money with students in an envelope if you wish for them to attend and make a purchase. Classrooms will be visiting the book fair during the school day and we will announce a special day for extended shopping hours.
